About Us

Bluet is a Finnish company, specializing in floating construction solutions. It was founded in June 2016 and it’s still privately owned mainly by Managing Director, Tytti Sirola, and Technical Director, Kimmo Saharinen. We are not just a supplier or designer, but first and foremost a partner, specializing in the design and implementation of a floating solution that meets your needs.

Our Story

People have always been drawn to water.
Yet in many cities, the water is right there – and still out of reach.

Bluet was founded in 2016 around a simple question:
what if the water’s edge were not where the city ends, but where it opens up?

We saw unused waterfronts and water areas not as boundaries, but as opportunities for new places to swim, meet, live, work and experience the water. From the beginning, our role has been to turn those possibilities into solutions that work in the real world – for people, for the environment and as viable investments.

Floating construction begins with imagination, but a dream does not float by itself. Every location brings its own waves, wind, water conditions, seabed, regulations and technical challenges. That is why Bluet combines creative thinking with specialised floating engineering, design and close collaboration with clients, partners and local experts.

Over our first decade, real projects in Finland and around the world have turned ideas into experience, experience into know-how, and know-how into new engineering methods, modular solutions, products and patents. What started with individual floating projects is becoming something much larger: a new layer of the built environment.

Our purpose remains the same: to open the water’s edge and create more ways for people, cities and businesses to use and enjoy water.

The first ten years proved that the idea works. Now we are taking what we have learned further – through products, partnerships and scalable floating solutions for waterfronts around the world.

By crossing the boundaries of the industries and cooperating openly with different business fields, talents and authorities, combining this all with solid engineering skills and special know-how, expertise in technical solutions and interest in the innovations, we are creating the direction for floating construction industry and new floating solutions. We are bold and experimental, yet our goal is to create feasible end-solutions and act as an enabler of dreams.
