Bluet at 10 – a new phase in product business alongside project delivery

Bluet Floating Solutions celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The anniversary comes at a time when the company is developing its business model: demanding project business remains an important part of the company’s operations, while a stronger product business is being built alongside it, based on smaller products and component deliveries that can be sold and delivered faster through local distributors and partners.

2026 remains a demanding year for the company. Turnover exceeded EUR 3 million during the first half of the year, but higher turnover alone does not make the year easy. Management priorities are profitability, cash flow management, successful project execution and building the operating model for the company’s next phase of growth.

Turning ten years of project expertise into products

Bluet® has always developed its own products and solutions. Until now, however, these products have most often been part of large, long-term deliveries that are highly customised for each project. The aim now is to complement this model with products that can also be sold more clearly as stand-alone deliveries through distributors and local partners. This means smaller, faster-to-deliver and easier-to-specify solutions for a wider range of applications.

Examples of this development include the Bluet® Mooring ARM anchoring system, smaller modular pool solutions and the Bluet® Rotating Safety Ladder, which improves marina safety. Depending on the product, delivery times can range from approximately two weeks to four months, whereas large projects often require long 12–24 month design, permitting and execution phases.

Projects remain – with a second growth engine alongside them

Bluet is not moving away from project business. Large floating pools, wellness and hospitality destinations, sports solutions and other demanding waterfront developments will continue to be a central part of the company’s expertise and business.

The change is that not all business and product sales need to be part of a customised, long-term project requiring an extensive permitting process. When part of the product family can be delivered faster and sold through distributors, Bluet can build a more repeatable and scalable business alongside project delivery.

Pool development focuses on durability and maintainability

Floating pools remain one of Bluet’s key areas of specialist expertise. With its new patent, the company is developing concrete pool solutions aimed at reducing the maintenance needs associated with traditional steel structures and improving long-term durability and usability.

At the same time, Bluet’s patented modular system and new connection and anchoring solutions are being developed to support larger floating infrastructure solutions than before.

Partner network is part of the model

Bluet focuses on its core expertise: floating infrastructure, pools, special platforms, technology, engineering and project-specific integration. Buildings, saunas, restaurants, architecture, local construction and project permitting are realised together with selected specialist partners and local project teams.

The objective is still not to act as a general contractor and build everything in-house. Instead, Bluet continues to develop and expand a model already proven in practice, where Bluet’s own technology and product expertise are combined with local execution and local project teams in projects around the world.

Building the next phase

“We have ten years of highly demanding project work behind us. It has given us the expertise, references and product technology on which the next phase can be built. We are not moving away from projects. We are building a clearer product and component sales business alongside them – products that can be delivered faster, used in more applications and reach a broader market through local distributors. 2026 has remained challenging, with several large, already agreed projects moving forward in schedule, but at the same time it is an important year for building the foundation for the next phase of growth.”

During 2026, management priorities are profitable project execution, cash flow management, productisation and building the sales and distribution model.
